The Town of Bredenbury acted quickly when funding became available through the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program (MEEP). The town joins others throughout the province on a list of projects that are approved for funding through MEEP as of June 19, 2020.
The three projects listed for approval are: Weeping Tile at Community Hall ($10,000), New Slide at Playground ($3,000) and Fire Hall Renovations ($40,467).
The Town of Bredenbury is allocated to receive $53,467 altogether.
The $150 million MEEP 2020 funding is a key component of the Government of Saskatchewan’s $7.5 billion, two-year capital plan to build a strong province and stimulate its economic recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other municipalities in the area are either in the process of submitting their funding proposals to the government, or they are waiting for the province to accept their submitted plan.
