On Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 4:30 P.M., the Town of Bredenbury called their regularly scheduled meeting of the town council to order before reviewing the agenda. Councillor Trowell made the motion to accept the agenda and the motion was carried.
The council reviewed the Bank Reconciliation Report for the rink and town before Councillor Burmam made the motion to accept both; the motion was carried.
Carrying on, the council reviewed the minutes of the last meeting before Councillor Chartier made the motion to accept the minutes as reviewed; the motion was carried.
The council reviewed the town’s financials and payment records for the rink and the town.
Council moved on to review the maintenance report for June. With no questions, they moved on to decide the date of the next meeting.
The council discussed speeding in town again. There is a major concern about the young children in town possibly getting hit by a speeding vehicle. Council is attempting to get the message to residents and visitors not to speed in town.
If the speeding does not stop the council will consider calling in police assistance.
The backhoe will be fixed with a motion by Councillor Burman. The ram needed replacing and that motion was carried.
The potholes have been repaired in town, as well as a resident received an abatement on their water bill.
There is some landscaping around the town hall and the old school needing mending after the repairs done to the facilities.
The windows have been ordered for the old school and the fire hall has been completed.
There was a request to rent a town man lift. Mayor Hass made the motion to rent the man lift and the motion was carried.
The town office will be closed the week of August 16 as the CAO will be on holiday.
SAMA will be doing house inspections for assessment purposes in town in the fall time.
The council then moved in-camera.
