There was a time when Chase the Ace was the talk of the town.  Especially when the winnings got big, on Friday nights, the Asessippi Inn was the place to be.

Like so much else, Covid put a stop to the weekly draws.

During the forced hiatus, the group searched out ways to pre-sell tickets, hoping to increase sales. They are now pre-selling tickets in advance during the week at select locations instead of just at the live event at Asessippi Inn.

“We were just recently approved for this format,” Chad Preston, president of Russell Binscarth Chase the Ace said.  “We hope this will increase sales and interest as you don’t have to be at the live event to claim your prize and can purchase tickets in advance of the draw during the week at select locations.”

The new startup date is Friday Jan 7, 2022.  As it stands right now, the committee is looking for a second spot for presale of tickets but pre-sale tickets will go on sale at Twin Valley Gas Bar on the Monday before the first draw and end on the Friday of the draw at 6 p.m.

Any tickets remaining from the presale will be sold at the live event at the Asessippi Inn Every Friday between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The draw will take place live at 8 p.m. shortly thereafter at the Asessippi Inn and will also be live streamed on our Facebook page for anyone not in attendance to view.

Only 200 tickets printed weekly at select locations.

“We are only selling 200 tickets weekly for this game as we will be locked into this amount for the entirety of this game,” Preston added.  “If we find demand is there, we will increase our ticket availability for future games.”

There are six organizations currently signed up as benefactors (and workers) of Chase The Ace: Russell Golf and Country Club, Russell Multiplex, Russell Lots a Tots, Russell Heritage and Arts, Russell Recreation Commission and Russell Field of Dreams.  Fifty percent of total sales goes towards these organizations at the end of a game once the Ace of Spades has been picked.

Tickets cost $5 each with a maximum of 10 tickets sold to any one individual.

Players must be 18 years old to purchase.

Main Accumulator Prize payout is 40% of sales every week which will total up weekly until the Ace of spades is drawn.

The winner of each Friday’s draw will be awarded ten percent of the total sales for the current week, if the Ace of Spades isn’t drawn.
