On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the 2A Girls Volleyball Conference Championship took place in Churchbridge. Teams from across the region gathered to compete for the top spot, showcasing impressive skill and determination throughout the day.
The tournament featured two pools. In Pool A, Ituna emerged undefeated with a 2-0 record, winning four sets and losing just one. Langenburg followed with a 1-1 record, while Cowessess finished with two losses. In Pool B, Cupar claimed the top position with a perfect 2-0 record, without dropping a single set. Kahkewistahaw placed second with a 1-1 record, while the host team, Churchbridge, finished third after two hard-fought losses.
In the afternoon bracket play, Ituna continued to dominate, defeating Kahkewistahaw 25-14, 25-6 in the first playoff game. Langenburg then pulled off a strong 25-7, 25-14 victory over Cupar, securing their spot in the final match.
The championship game between Ituna and Langenburg was a thrilling showdown. Ituna displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, taking the match in two straight sets, 25-17 and 25-11, to become the 2A Girls Volleyball Conference Champions.
