When the Russell Rams Senior Men’s team take on their arch rivals – the Miniota/Elkhorn C-Hawks on Friday night, Nov. 12th, on home ice, it will be exactly 611 days since the idea of senior Men’s Hockey – or really pretty much any indoor recreation involving the gathering of humans – came to an end.
“This is the last game we had scheduled so it made sense to start over again from there,” Arlis Bomback of the Russell Rams Men’s Senior Team said.
The Senior Rams are part of the scaled back Northwest Hockey League which will see them face off against the Miniota/Elkhorn C-Hawks in the south, the Waywayseecappo Warriors to the east and the Swan Valley Axemen to the north. With the Langenburg Senior men’s team folding, there’ll be four players from that league joining the Russell Rams as the season kicks off at 7:30 p.m. this Friday.
Joining Russell from Langenburg will be Alex Vandenameele, Noah Kaminski, Jake McDonell and Patrick Tran.
