There is a new principal coming to Langenburg Central School in the fall! After a long career in Langenburg as teacher and administrator, Mr. Parmar will be taking on a new role as Superintendent of Schools at the GSSD Central Office this fall. He started in Langenburg in September 1991, and he took the Vice Principal position at Langenburg High School in 2001, eventually becoming the principal in 2009. In 2016 he became the principal at Langenburg Central School. The new principal is Dr. Brandon Needham (Ph. D.), he was the principal of Melville Comprehensive School and had been since 2014. He has also been the Vice Principal of the Yorkton Regional High School and Tisdale Middle and Secondary School. “Originally, Brandon is from Oxbow, Saskatchewan, where his family farmed. Having grown up in a small town, he understands the importance of a strong relationship between the school and the community. While attending the University of Saskatchewan, Brandon was a member of the Huskie Men’s Volleyball program, earning all-star recognition and both a Jr. National and CIS National championship. He continues to enjoy the sport of volleyball and coaches the boys club volleyball program in Yorkton. He is a proud father of four children, Josh, Owen, Blake, Brayden, and baby number five on the way this August. His partner, Ashley, is an elementary school teacher at Columbia school in Yorkton. When not at school or coaching, Brandon enjoys spending his time camping with his family.” About his new position, Brandon said, “I am very much looking forward to the position at LCS in the fall. The staff and students have already been so welcoming of me; I cannot wait to serve the community of Langenburg.” Make sure to welcome him to his new position in the fall!
