Mayor Jeremy Stasiuk called the regularly scheduled meeting of the Town of Langenburg Council to order on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM.

The council reviewed the agenda before Councillor Sicinski made the motion to accept the agenda; the motion was carried.

Next, the council reviewed the minutes of the last council meeting. Councillor Popp made the motion to accept the minutes as reviewed; the motion was carried.

Financials

The council reviewed the town’s list of accounts for approval. Councillor Popp made the motion to pay the town’s bills; the motion carried.

Councilor Popp reviewed the town’s financial situation with the rest of the council.

Foreman’s Report

Foreman Dave Tucker presented his report to the council about what the town maintenance department has been doing over the last month. There was a water break repair on 1st Ave, two of the town’s crew attended a conference in Saskatoon, there was snow removed from the town’s street, there were some repairs to the arena’s brine pumps. Councillor Farmer made the motion to accept the foreman’s report; the motion carried.

Committee Reports

Councillor Sicinski attended the East Central Highways planning committee; highway 8 will be expanded this year. The Activity Center is looking for additional board members.  

There are vehicles left on the street for extended amounts of time contrary to town bylaws. Councillor Sicinski made the motion to allow vehicles to be towed at owner’s expense if not removed.
