Two young athletes from the Esterhazy Energizers Gymnastics Club are celebrating major achievements after a standout weekend in Regina. Brinlee Maier and Sadie Meekins delivered exceptional performances at the South Winter Games Trials, held at the Queen City Gymnastics Club, earning their places on the Zone 4 Team for the upcoming Saskatchewan Winter Games.
Brinlee Maier has been involved in gymnastics since she was just two years old and has competed with the Energizers’ competitive team since the 2021–2022 season. Her years of dedication and discipline were on full display as she delivered one of her strongest performances yet.
Sadie Meekins, who began gymnastics at age three, has been part of the club’s competitive program since 2022–2023. Her steady progress and growing confidence helped her shine at the trials, securing her spot alongside her teammate.
Both athletes train with the Esterhazy Energizers under the guidance of coaches Mellane and Rebecca. Coach Rebecca, described by many as a powerhouse on the gym floor, has been instrumental in supporting and developing the club’s athletes. Her leadership has now been recognized at the provincial level as she has been selected as the head coach for the Zone 4 team at the Saskatchewan Winter Games.
As the Saskatchewan Winter Games approach, excitement continues to build around these talented young gymnasts and their coaching team. Congratulations to Brinlee, Sadie, and Coach Rebecca as they prepare to represent Zone 4 on the provincial stage.
