Sharpe’s Crop Services is once again bringing communities together with its annual Burger Brawl, running from February 9th to 15th, in celebration of Canada’s Agriculture Day on February 10.
This year’s event has been extended from five days to a full week, giving burger lovers even more time to sample creative, mouth-watering offerings from local restaurants.
From February 9th–15th, residents are invited to enjoy a specially crafted Canadian agriculture-inspired burger at any of the eight participating locations. Each purchase also enters customers into a draw to win a gift basket.
Participating restaurants include: MacNutt Hotel (MacNutt), Chicken Chef (Langenburg), Chicken Chef (Esterhazy), Rock Creek (Esterhazy), K3 Restaurant (Churchbridge), The Hub (Stockholm), Russell Inn (Russell, MB) and Jethro’s Bites & Brews (Binscarth, MB).
Each restaurant will put its own unique spin on a featured burger during the week, promising a variety of flavours designed to make tastebuds dance with delight.
The Burger Brawl was originally inspired as a way to celebrate agriculture and Canada’s Agriculture Day, while also giving local businesses an opportunity to showcase their creativity. The event has become eagerly anticipated each year, generating increased economic activity as customers travel to try the different burger options.
The week-long event also encourages people to gather with family, friends, and coworkers to sample multiple burgers together, sparking conversations about favourites and the surprising combinations on offer.
Canada’s Agriculture Day, celebrated on February 10th, invites Canadians from coast to coast to recognize and celebrate the food we enjoy and the people who produce it. The day honours the dedication and accomplishments of farmers and the agri-food industry, a sector that plays a vital role in feeding Canadians and people around the world while supporting a strong national economy.
It is also an opportunity to express gratitude to farmers who, regardless of weather conditions and ongoing challenges, continue to provide safe, nutritious food year-round.
With seven days of delicious options ahead, residents are encouraged to come hungry so they can enjoy as many of the unique and flavourful burgers as possible during Sharpe’s Crop Services’ Burger Brawl, February 9th–15th.
