The Saskatchewan Blue Cross 2021 Go Out & Play Challenge is complete and the results are in.
The Town of Langenburg, and surrounding area supporters, helped the town win $5000 which will go toward purchasing a twin racer water slide for the new pool which is scheduled to open this July.
Juli Mitchke, Town of Langenburg Recreation Director, said, “I knew we could do it! Langenburg’s community spirit is the best! I am a challenge junkie! Sign me up and I will do whatever it takes to be successful! Some of my friends and family were probably tired of hearing about the challenge, but hey… we got 2nd and we were up against a community that is 3 times the size of us! We are AMAZING! I get goosebumps thinking about the hard work this community puts in to make magic happen! It was an exhausting 10 days talking about the challenge and the several daily reminders but it was so worth it! Thanks to everyone that pitched in, the schools/daycares that got involved and all our out of town supporters! ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!”
Langenburg won the challenge back in 2017.
The $10,000 Community Grand Prize winner of the Saskatchewan Blue Cross 2021 Go Out & Play Challenge was Meadow Lake with 538,152 physical activity minutes.
Langenburg logged 506,111 physical activity minutes.
