On Wednesday, April 7th the Churchbridge Lions and Lioness welcomed community groups to the Evergreen Club to present them with funds raised from the last round of Chase the Ace.
The groups that were able to receive funding include the Churchbridge Walking & Bike Path, the Churchbridge Aquatic Centre, the Churchbridge Operating Board, Churchbridge Hanging Baskets, the After School Cross Country Ski Program (CPS), the Churchbridge Daycare Co-operative, Churchbridge Shooting Stars Preschool, Churchbridge Players, Churchbridge & District Fitness Center, Churchbridge Fire Rescue, Churchbridge Curling Club and the CPS Playground.
Members of the respective committees attended the presentations which were scheduled in 10 minute intervals to adhere to public health recommendations.
There is another round of Chase the Ace planned to hopefully begin this summer.
Chbg. Walking & Bike Path – Phase 1 of path
Chbg. Aquatic Centre – Aquasize equipment, speaker system, water fountain
Chbg. Arena Operating Board – Purchase & install Glycol Heat Exchanger
Chbg. Hanging Baskets – Purchase hanging baskets
After School Cross Country Ski Program (CPS) – Additional equipment purchases; maintenance of existing equipment
Chbg. Daycare Co-operative – Building maintenance
Chbg. Shooting Stars Preschool – Re-start up costs, materials, etc.
Chbg. Players – Purchase of additional stage decks at the hall
Chbg. & District Fitness Center – Replace lighting fixtures and exit lights
Chbg. Fire Rescue – Partial cost of SCBA unit
Chbg. Curling Club – Rock refurbishment – completed for total cost of $20k
CPS Playground – Lions previous commitment
