2021 Edge 2 Edge Hockey Esterhazy Fall Skills Camp

Edge 2 Edge Hockey is excited to announce that we will be returning to Esterhazy, SK for our 2nd Annual Fall Skills Camp. The dates of the camp will take place September 14th to October 2nd at the Dana Antal Arena.

Edge 2 Edge Hockey will be having limited spots in each of the following groups U7 (2015/2016), U9 (2013/2014), U11 (2011/2012), U13 (2009/2010) and U15/U18 (2004-2008). We will be accepting goalies in all groups except U7. 

The program will focus on skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, one on one drills, small area games and conditioning. The sessions will be designed for kids to learn new skills, build their confidence and have fun on the ice. This camp will help the players transition into their own minor hockey association and team development for the 2021-22 season. 

This is a co-ed camp so all boys and girls are welcome to join us.

A new exciting change to this year’s camp is the Saturday sessions will be either 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 hockey. The Saturday’s will involve 10-15 minutes of skills and warmup then the kids will play games.

The Edge 2 Edge Hockey Hockey Camp will be led by head instructor and owner of Edge 2 Edge Hockey, Casey O’Brien. Casey is a High Performance 1 Certified coach and a Hockey Canada Trained Skills Coach. He has been operating Edge 2 Edge Hockey development since 2012. He is a former Head Coach/General Manager and Assistant Coach of the Yorkton Terriers in the SJHL. During his time in Yorkton he won 2 SJHL League Championships, the 2014 RBC National Championship. He also had some personal success in the SJHL by winning the inaugural Dwight MacMillian SJHL Assistant Coach of the Year Award in the 2015-16 season. He also coached the Melville Prairie Fire Female Midget AAA Program for the 2018-19 season where he won SFMAAAHL Coach of the Year. 

Edge 2 Edge Hockey will also have lead instructor Bud Holloway who is a full time instructor with Edge 2 Edge Hockey. Bud is from Wapella, SK. He played 4 years in the WHL for the Seattle Thunderbirds. He was 3rd Round NHL draft pick to the Los Angeles Kings in 2006 NHL Draft. He went on to play an 11 year Professional playing career before retiring last season. He played in the following leagues, AHL, SHL, KHL, NLA, NHL, EBEL. His knowledge and experience of the game has been great edition to Edge 2 Edge Hockey. He is also a trained Hockey Canada Skills Coach.

The camp is 3 weeks long and the schedule will be the same weekly. The schedule is as follows:

U7 (2015/2016): Tuesday 5:00-6:15PM, Thursday 5:00-6:15PM, Saturday 9:00-10:15AM

U9 (2013/2014): Wednesday 5:00-6:15PM, Thursday 6:30-7:45PM, Saturday 10:30-11:45PM

U11 (2011/2012): Tuesday 6:30-7:45PM, Wednesday 6:30-7:45PM, Saturday 12:00-1:15PM

U13 (2009/2010): Tuesday 8:00-9:15PM, Thursday 8:00-9:15PM, Saturday 1:30-2:45PM

U15/U18 (2004-2008): Wednesday 8:00-9:30PM, Saturday 3:00-4:30PM

The costs for the camp for registered players and goalies:

U7/U9/U11/U13 Skaters will receive 11.25 hours of on ice development over the 3 weeks. The cost is $283.50 which includes GST. 

U9/U11/U13 Goalies will receive 11.25 hours of on ice development over the 3 weeks. The cost is $194.25 which includes GST.

U15/U18 Skaters will receive 9 hours of on ice development over the 3 weeks. The cost is $225.75 which includes GST. 

U15/U18 Goalies will receive 9 hours of on ice development over the 3 weeks. The cost is $157.50 which includes GST.

Each group will have limit on the number of registrations per group. All groups will be capped to 20 skaters and 3 goalies with the exception of the U7 which will not have any goalies. 

Each player will receive an Edge 2 Edge Hockey jersey.
