On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Mayor Jeremy Stasiuk called the regularly scheduled council meeting of the Langenburg Town Council to Order Witt all members present.

Next, the council reviewed the agenda before Councillor Sizinski made the motion to accept the agenda; the motion was carried.

Council reviewed the minutes of the last regular meeting before Councillor Sizinski made the motion to accept the amended minutes; the motion was carried.

Mayor Stasiuk then gave the floor to the OSS representative to address the council about their concerns about the recycling fees and fines. There are plans in the works to alleviate these fines. Oil containers seem to be the biggest contamination issue seen with the present recycling gathering and sorting.

Financials 

The List of Accounts Payable was reviewed. After a few questions, Councillor Popp made the motion to pay the bills; the motion was carried.

Councillor Popp explained the Bank Reconciliation for August to the rest of council prior to making the motion to accept the bank reconciliation, the motion was carried.

Reports

The Langenburg Town Foreman explained to the council what the town maintenance staff has been doing over the last month, as well as what he expects the staff to be doing over the next few weeks. Councillor Hunt made the motion to hire a company to bring in gravel for the town as long as it is suitable; the motion was carried.

Councillor Sicinski made the motion to accept the Formans Report; the motion was carried.

Next the council reviewed the lift station project. There are still some issues, especially with the landscaping, and the council will make sure it gets done to the standards they require.

The council reviewed the swimming pool project as well as the rest stop project for information sake.

The Office Report was next to be reviewed by the council. CAO Lemke answered any questions the council had about her report. Councillor Hunt made the motion to accept the Office report and the motion was carried.

Each of the committees gave their committee report to the rest of council to inform them of what is happening within each committee. 

Correspondence 

The council reviewed the correspondence received by the town before Councillor Hunt made the motion to file it; the motion was carried.

Old Business

The council discussed the unsightly properties around town as well as the hall rental agreement.

New Business

Water shut off notices have been issued; these notices are for water bills in arrears.

The council reviewed the 2020 Waterworks Financial Overview. Councillor Hunt made the motion to accept this overview and the motion was carried.

The council reviewed the permit list and Councillor Popp made the motion to accept it.

Councillor Sicinski made the motion to adjourn the meeting and the motion was carried.
