Churchbridge held its annual disc golf tournament on Saturday, September 25th, at the Churchbridge Credit Union Disc Golf Course. Churchbridge’s tournament was the second stop of three on the 2021 Legacy Co-op Series Tour. The Parkland Association of Disc Golf (PADG) held the first stop in Kamsack on Sept 13th  and will end with a night tournament under the lights in Yorkton on October 31st.

The weather held up well, and the calm sunny day was a welcome change from the windy conditions that have been more common currently.

Many of the participants mentioned how beautiful and well-organized the Churchbridge course is, and that it is one they really enjoy playing at each year.

Organizing this year’s event was the tournament’s chair of the PADG, Trevor Lyons, who provided this year’s summary for the Churchbridge Open

The athletes competed in various categories, including: Intermediate Female, Advanced Men’s, 18 & Under Juniors, Amateur 40+, Open Division, Intermediate Division and Open 40+ Division.

The disc golfers played two rounds in the morning, followed by one final round after a break for lunch.

There was no “longest drive” competition held this year.
