BREAKING NEWS AS OF THIS WRITING: The Langenburg Warriors have reportedly decided not to play this upcoming season in the SEHL. It is reported that vaccine uptake and a lack of commitment is the reason for the hiatus. Comments from the warriors/SEHL were not available at press time.  There will be more on this story next week or check out TL_Media on Facebook for all the latest.

  • The Birds are back in flight! The Whitewood Orioles have a senior hockey team for the first time since the 2018-2019 season. The Orioles are in the SEHL this year. They will play a home and home series with the Moosomin Rangers of the big six hockey league starting on Friday November 5th in Moosomin.
  • The Moosomin Rangers are ready to begin the Big Six Hockey League season. They will begin the year with a home and home series against Midale starting on November 19, the following weekend the Rangers head to Midale.
  • The Wawota Flyers open up their Big Six season in Bienfait.
  • Elkhorn/Miniota return to the North Central Hockey League. The four teams are meeting in the near future to discuss several topics including the schedule.
  • The Rocanville Tigers will be in the Saskatchewan East Hockey League along with the Orioles Esterhazy is taking a year off due to being unable to find a manager. 
  • Older minor hockey age groups will be starting shortly.
  • Chad Leslie of Elkhorn is the new general manager of the Swift Current Broncos.
  • Ryker Cole is back at Carlton University playing his final season of university hockey. 
  • Kayden Skulmoski has a goal and an assist to go along with 35 penalty minutes through 13 games with the AJHLs Grand Prairie Storm.
  • Kyle Bochek of Moosomin has played in one game for the WHLS Vancouver Giants.
  • Dawson Davidson has two points in two games with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
  • Jayden Bender and Dominic Orr are playing with Fort Knox of the Prairie Junior Hockey League. Orr has a 0.99 goals against average after one game. Bender has three points in five games.
  • Marshall Light is playing for the Estevan Bears. He has seven points through nine games to start the season. 
  • If you don’t have any allegiances already in the SJHL, the Notre Dame Hounds have a couple of Moosomin products. Forwards Phi Fath and Blake Rasmuson are with the club this year.
