Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate summer and community spirit during Churchbridge June Daze, taking place June 18–21. Organized by the Churchbridge Business Association (CBA), the annual event will feature four days of sports, family activities, entertainment, food, shopping, and community gatherings.

The festivities begin on Thursday, June 18 with Minor Sports Ball Day at the Churchbridge ball diamonds. Local teams will take to the field throughout the evening, including U13 Baseball facing Langenburg at Diamond #3 at 6:15 p.m., U11 Baseball hosting Langenburg at Diamond #2 at 6:15 p.m., and Senior Rally Cap playing Langenburg at Diamond #6 at 5:15 p.m. Junior Rally Cap will take on Esterhazy at Diamond #7 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Softball action will see Churchbridge U17 face Churchbridge U15 at Diamond #5 at 6:30 p.m., while the U9 Softball team hosts Yorkton at Diamond #6 at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, June 19, participants can test their tracking skills during the popular Laser Tag Game. Prize sponsors for the event are Get’Er Done Lawn Care and Goebel’s Cabinets. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy Couples Night Golfing at the Churchbridge Golf Course, with tee-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

Westland Insurance will also celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location 140 Vincent Ave W from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday. Community members are invited to stop by for cake and coffee while joining staff in marking the occasion.

The evening will also mark the Grand Opening of 213 Dance Academy at 126 Vincent Avenue East. The event begins at 7 p.m., with registration opportunities available for those interested in enrolling. The academy will offer classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap.

The Churchbridge Aquatic Centre will also host a Family Movie and Swim Night on Friday evening as part of June Daze festivities. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, while children aged five and under are admitted free. Pop and ice cream will be available for purchase at the pool. Families are welcome to bring their own snacks; however, sunflower seeds and popcorn are not permitted. All snacks must be consumed in the designated grass area.

Saturday, June 20 promises to be the busiest day of the celebration with activities running throughout town.

The day begins with a Pancake Breakfast hosted by Churchbridge Fire Rescue from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Curling Rink. Breakfast prices are $7 for adults, $5 for children aged 6 to 12, and free for children five and under.

Townwide Garage Sales will begin at 9 a.m. throughout the community. Shoppers can also take advantage of special June Daze promotions, including sidewalk sales at Sagebrush Studios and camping promotions at both Legacy Co-op locations.

Another business milestone will be celebrated with the Grand Opening of Acqua Hair Studio at 117 Rankin Road. The ribbon-cutting celebration is scheduled for 11:15 a.m.

The CBA Street Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Vincent Avenue East. The fair will feature an outdoor market, family activities, local vendors and community organizations. Running alongside the Street Fair will be the Kid’s Zone, offering inflatable attractions, glitter tattoos and carnival games. The Kid’s Zone is sponsored by Churchbridge Credit Union, Lashes by Cailey, and OLM Skidsteer & Mechanical.

The Churchbridge Public Library will host an Open House from 1 to 3 p.m., giving visitors an opportunity to tour the facility and explore local photo archives. Earlier in the day, the library will also host a BBQ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Co-op parking lot, with burgers available for $7, hot dogs for $5 and drinks for $2.Co-op is covering the cost of the food and proceeds go to the library for fundraising. 

Families can also enjoy a Petting Zoo sponsored by 80 Route Massage and KB Lash Studio.

One of the highlights of the day will be the June Daze Parade beginning at noon. Following the parade, children can participate in the Gold Rush Dig at 1 p.m. at the volleyball court on Prothero Avenue. Young treasure hunters are encouraged to bring a pail and shovel as they search for “gold” coins hidden in the sand.

The Churchbridge Evergreen Club will host Pie and Coffee from 1 to 4 p.m. for $5 per person.

Music and entertainment will continue throughout the afternoon and evening at the Parking Lot Party at Rum of the Mill. The event begins at 1 p.m. and continues until close. Tickets are available in advance, and minors will be permitted until 9 p.m.

At 3 p.m., children can participate in the Ping Pong Ball Drop in front of Royal Estates. Participants will catch ping pong balls and redeem them for prizes at participating CBA businesses.

Saturday evening concludes with the Churchbridge Lions Chicken Supper at the Curling Rink from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children aged 10 and under.

The celebration wraps up on Sunday, June 21 with Family Bingo beginning at 10 a.m. at the Curling Rink. The event is sponsored by Churchbridge Daycare and offers a fun opportunity for families to gather before the weekend concludes.

With activities designed for all ages, Churchbridge June Daze promises a weekend filled with community pride, family fun and local entertainment.
