With +29 C weather occurring outside on Wednesday, June 24th, the Town of Bredenbury council held their regularly scheduled meeting inside the town hall to ensure social distancing.Mayor Slowski called the meeting to order with the acceptance of the Minutes of the last meeting as well as the agenda. A motion was made by Councilor Ryan and carried.Next, the council reviewed the town’s financial statements for the month of May. After a short discussion, Councillor Trowell made the motion to accept the Financials which was carried.Carrying on, the council discussed the Kaboda and the fixing of it before reviewing town water and sewer records. Moving on to Old Business, the council discussed purchasing a vehicle of some sort for the maintenance staff. They discussed that Administrator Varga will be on holidays for a little bit. Also, notices will be placed on the town office door and on the town’s Facebook page; in the case of an emergency, ratepayers are to contact town maintenance staff or a councillor.Discussing the water plant, Councillor Reykjalin explained to the rest of the council about the water plant motor. He mentioned that the pump does not seem to be wanting to pump enough volume at this time and they are awaiting further information from the pump manufacturer.Starting in October, the Bredenbury area will be having a community wing or rib night to increase the community coming together; these evening will be held in the local arena and will be a good evening for all members of the community to attend and socialize (all COVID-19 regulations will be followed of course).The next regular meeting will be July 22 @4:30pm.
